Native to South Africa, these very hardy Ice Plants do amazingly well in North America. This selection forms a low carpet or mat of succulent, evergreen leaves, bearing loads of small starry burnished-red flowers from late spring through fall. A great choice for hot, dry areas. Excellent as a groundcover, in the rock garden or wall, for edging, and especially as a lawn substitute. Attractive to butterflies.
