Dwarf Alberta Spruce
Picea glauca 'Conica'
Probably the most popular dwarf evergreen as it looks like a fuzzy Christmas tree. Just perfect as an accent to your garden. Sensitive to winter burn and will need winter protection.
A very dense multi-stemmed evergreen shrub with light green foliage in the spring. It has a refined pyramidal form, it's relatively low maintenance, only prune when necessary and it's only recommended to trim back the new growth of the current season, other than to remove any dieback.
Light: Sun to Partial sun
Height: 6 feet
Spread: 5 feet
Pro Tip: Slow growing rate and can be expected to last for 50 years, it tends to fill out right to the ground. It prefers to grow in average to moist conditions and should not dry out.
